Writing is better when you do it in community with others.

I began with that one simple tenant.

In fact, I started with a single writer friend. Then I critiqued other people’s manuscripts and query letters. Pulling people into my circle. I organized volunteers at a large kidlit conference. Then I directed that conference. Then I began my own in-person writing community. It thrives. Then I started collaborative projects: anthologies, co-authored books, mentoring. Each project far exceeded my own goals and big ideas. And those ideas and plans keep growing, but the most important idea is this:

Community starts with one person: YOU.

I’m glad you are here, I’m glad you are writing. You have a story to tell. Let me know how I can help!
